Fergie Defends Aguilera’s blunder


‘Black Eyed Peas’ star Fergie has rushed to the defence of fellow Super Bowl performer, Christina Aguilera after the singer mixed up the words to the National Anthem.The ‘Fergilicious’ star, who performed during the half-time gig, stood up for the star, saying it was a nerve-racking venue to play at.In a statement on Wednesday, Aguilera apologised, saying she got “lost in the moment” after fluffing the lyrics to the ‘Star Spangled Banner’.But Fergie has jumped to the ‘Burlesque’ hitmaker’s defence and told listeners during Dan Patrick’s radio show, “You know what? It’s such a huge venue, your nerves take a hold of you. I completely understand. She’s one of the best singers of our time. Nobody can take that away from you. But you get nervous at these things. We’re human.Fergie also admitted that she felt her own performance was a little “pitchy” . “Some of my notes were pitchy to me. But it was so exhilarating. The whole thing. It was so big.
