Frankie Muniz Gun-Totin’ Domestic Disturbance With Girlfriend Elycia Turnbow

The Curse of the Scandal-Scarred Child Stars Strikes Again: One of television’s most endearing middle children has lost his marbles — at least that’s the story a LAPD police report is telling.

Frankie Muniz, who won an Emmy nomination for his portrayal on the FOX comedy Malcolm in the Middle, denied Tuesday that he intended to commit suicide during an explosive argument with his girlfriend, Elycia Turnbow, over the weekend. Frankie — whose film credits include The Secret Life of Agent Cody Banks — retired from acting to become a professional racecar driver several years ago. Save for a Twitter spat with Shia LeBeouf last summer, he’s been largely missing from the Hollywood scene since then. The 25-year-old multimillionaire had an “intense” fight with Elycia in his Los Angeles mansion last Friday, during which the actor allegedly (Hint, Nudge, Wink…) “grabbed a gun and held it to his head, possibly with the intent of committing suicide,” Turnbow told police, according to a report obtained by TMZ this week.

Turnbow also accuses Muniz “punched her in the back of the head, and threw her into a wall,” according to the same police report. Temper, Temper!

Frankie, on the other hand, denied his gal pal’s account of the altercation in a press statment this evening. Though Muniz does own a registered handgun, his reps deny the weapon played any role in his spat with the Missus.

“Frankie and Elycia had an argument a few days ago. The police were called to the residence,” his rep argued in a counter statement. “A gun played no part in the argument and was voluntarily given to the police for safekeeping. There were no bruises and neither left the residence. He was not suicidal. She was not assaulted.”

And perhaps not surprisingly, this bizarre domestic incident isn’t putting the kibosh on Frankie and Elycia’s days as a couple. The twentysomethings “moving forward with their lives and with their relationship,” the statement added.

Let’s just hope she brings some pepper spray!
