Amy Jackson in Hindi Remake of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya

FILM star Amy Jackson is getting to grips with a new language as she shoots her latest role in a major Bollywood movie.

The 18-year-old Miss Liverpool title holder is currently on set in Mumbai playing out her lines in Hindi for her role as lead character Jessie in a re-make of the romantic film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya. Trisha’s dream of making it big in Bollywood shattered with the release of her debut film ‘Khatta Meetha’. This movie released on July 23rd, not only bombed at the box office but also brought Trisha lot of criticism.

Within a month, she was whisked off to film in the teeming Indian cities of Chennai and Hyderabad.

“The cast and crew made me so welcome. I was worried about the language barrier but everyone made such an effort with me I settled in fine,” she said.

“Filming was so nerve-wracking though. I”m used to modelling shoots where there’’s about ten people on set, but I had to act in front of hundreds of cast and crew members.

Double Grammy and Oscar-winner A R Rahman would be scoring the music this movie with Anthony handling the editing, art department with Rajeevan and cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa.
