Kim Kardashian Irate Over Turkish Cosmo Cover

Kim Kardashian is reportedly very upset that a photo of her was used on the cover of Turkey's edition of Cosmopolitan magazine this month.
Her objections stem from her Armenian heritage.
It is a widely-held belief that Turkey was responsible for acts of genocide against the Armenian people in the early part of the 20th Century.

Kim Kardashian, an Armenian-American who has been vocal about the genocide, did an international photo shoot recently that went to various magazines.

That included several owned by Cosmopolitan, but she didn't know it would end up on the Turkish version of the mag, and she's quite upset about this.

Sources say Cosmo let Kim's people know which international outlets of the magazine would use her picture, but never mentioned Turkey to Kim or her reps.

Kim would not have approved the use of her pic in the Turkish version, according to sources close to her, and it's particularly upsetting this time of year.

April 24, which happens to also be Easter Sunday this year, is the day Armenians commemorate the genocide, and comes just weeks after this release.

The father of Oksana Grigorieva has doused the flammable situation between his daughter and Mel Gibson with a giant vat of gasoline.

An already contentious feud - the latest in a very long line of offenses, accusations and legal claims finds Oksana asking for a lot more child support from Mel - has now grown uglier, as Petr Chernukha says the actor often frequented prostitutes while dating his daughter, and also hit the singer's 12-year old son.
"[Friends] brought prostitutes for Mel to his office and even to their house when Oksana was away," Chernukha tells The Sun. "Mel was openly jealous of Oksana's attention to her son. He hated Alexander and even hit him once. After that Oksana did her best to avoid them being together."

Oksana's dad also reiterated the charge that Gibson shoved Grigorieva as she was holding the pair's 10-month old daughter, and threw a chair through a glass door.

This is not the first time Mel has been accused of hitting the 12-year old Oksana had with actor Timothy Dalton. We're probably not going out a limb, either, by saying this isn't the last time we'll be writing about Gibson's legal battles with his baby mama.

When it was initially revealed that Wayne Rooney cheated on his wife with a high-priced call girl - get all the sordid details HERE - a friend claimed the soccer star was "in ruins" over the outing.

But if that was the case before, new reports indicate Rooney has changed his tune. Dramatically.
Sources tell The Daily Mail that Rooney simply laughs off the idea of wife Coleen divorcing him. The striker reportedly scoffs at how his in-laws are all "living a very nice life off the back of his talent" and believes:

"If she can't handle it and [the marriage is] over, so be it. Seems he thinks he can pretty much do what the hell he likes because they'd all be nothing without him."

As she ponders her future, Coleen and the couple's ten-month-old son, Kai, are believed to be staying with her parents in Formby, Merseyside.

Prostitute Jennifer Thompson has been surprisingly open about her trysts with Rooney, detailing where they had sex and how he never tried to conceal the relationship. Such openness is a stark contrast to the ways in which Tiger Woods tried to buy the silence of flings such as Rachel Uchitel.

Insiders say Rooney didn't feel especially bad about his actions when talking to his wife.

"He didn't try and wriggle out of it. He just said he wished it had never happened," a friend says. "Coleen was devastated and that devastation has turned to anger."

This isn't the first time Rooney has cheated on Coleen - but it is the first time he did so when she was pregnant. An acquaintance says Coleen's "days of having to put up with humiliation are over" and she plans to leave him. Let's hope she does, taking a big chunk of Rooney's money in the process.

Miss Universe Body Paint Pics Stir Up Controversy

Is it possible for a beauty pageant to be too sexy?

That's the question directed at Miss Universe these days, as the organization has posed most of its 2010 contestants in almost nothing but body paint for a new set of promotional images.

"It's alarming that this has been turned into a Playboy-esque masquerade," Angie Meyer, a former pageant employee, told Fox News. "By implementing topless photos as part of the pageant process, they're putting applicants in an extremely compromising position."

As opposed to the bathing suit and evening gown segments of the event, which place contestants in uncompromising positions and are not based on appearances?

Responded Lark-Marie Anton, vice president of marketing and public relations for the organization, to the charges of inappropriateness:

"The contestants who compete at Miss Universe are diverse, as they represent more than 82 countries around the globe. Many of their cultures embrace nudity... We feel the images captured are fashionable and cutting edge!"

Mel Gibson's Dad: The Pope is Gay!

Another day, another offensive Gibson rant ... this time not by Mel, though!

Mel Gibson’s controversial father, Hutton Gibson, told Liberty News Radio that "half the Vatican" is gay and that Pope Benedict XVI is a homosexual too.

Asked by Radar Online to confirm those remarks, the elder Gibson, 91, did so and then some, saying: “That is correct – I stand by my statements."

“The Vatican is full of all these child molesters, that is all there is to it.”

Hutton Gibson shocked listeners on the Political Cesspool Radio Program with his take on why the Catholic Church has failed to tackle homosexuality.

He calls Pope Benedict was “a homosexual” and “a slippery character” involved in a Masonic conspiracy out to destroy the Catholic Church from within.

This is a rant that gives Mel a run for his money, though.

The outspoken critic of the Catholic Church questioned in a 2003 interview how Nazis had disposed of six million bodies during the Holocaust, and claimed that the September 11, 2001, attacks were perpetrated by remote control.

Now, Hutton Gibson claims the Catholic Church isn’t fighting the repeal of Proposition 8 “because half of the people there in the Vatican are queer."

"They have not handled the horrible situation in the church. In fact they have fostered it because as I say they are trying to destroy the church.”

Asked if he thinks the Pope is gay, Hutton replied, “I certainly do. Why else would he put up with this? He was in charge of stamping it out."

Eddie Cibrian: Cheating on LeAnn Rimes With Brandi Glanville?!

In early 2009, Eddie Cibrian carried on an affair with LeAnn Rimes that was outed by celebrity gossip tabloids and ultimately ended his marriage to Brandi Glanville.

Star reports that Glanville, who even said last month that Cibrian will always be a cheater, apparently was speaking with first-hand knowledge of the situation.

"LeAnn is getting a bitter taste of her own medicine," a friend of Brandi Glanville tells the mag. "Eddie will keep cheating, because that’s just what he does.”

Cibrian denies this - as he did with the Rimes affair initially, BTW. On the flip side, Glanville pulled a Carrie Underwood, so she's a loose cannon as well.

Today Eddie Tweeted this: "Once again my ex has stooped to a new low by attempting to sabotage my beautiful relationship with LeAnn. Not surprisingly the only magazine that decided to run the story shares the same credibility and delusion as my ex."

Ouch! That one stings ... but you have to wonder with this guy.

Jailed! Lindsay Lohan Sentenced to 90 Days For Probation Violation; Star Breaks Down in Tears

Lindsay Lohan's day of reckoning has arrived, and an orange jumpsuit will soon follow - she'll be doing 90 days in jail for violating probation, followed by rehab.

The troubled actress must surrender July 20.

She's beaten the rap before, but from the very beginning today, the star's attempts to evade jail for skipping mandatory alcohol education classes were doomed.

She has now made good on the classes, but that wasn't true in May, when she bailed on her last hearing and ended up free on bail wearing a SCRAM device.

Whether she remained free or not rested with no-nonsense Judge Marsha Revel, who sentenced LiLo after incredulous prosecutor Danette Meyers took it to her.
Court proceedings began with a victory for the troubled star. Revel ruled out the matter of the SCRAM device going off after the MTV Movie Awards June 7.

The hearing was thus exclusively about whether Lindsay Lohan violated probation by not attending enough alcohol ed classes at the time of the last hearing.

Not that she was out of the woods by any means.

The Office Manager at the Right On program testified that the program knew the judge wanted Lindsay to attend class once a week, which she did not.

Co-owner Cheryl Marshall testified that she violated the program by failing to attend the classes and coming up with a variety of excuses throughout.

The program determined in both May and August 2009 that Lindsay's excuses were "endless and disrespectful" and that she was not in compliance.

Prosecutors are clearly not taking this lightly, running down the list of times - nine total - that Lindsay skipped class, often for weeks at a time no less.

Court adjourned until 1:30 PST, but when it resumed, it was clear that the evidence was piling up against Lohan - she violated probation, plain and simple.

There were lots more excuses, but ultimately they didn't fly. Revel laid the smack down on Lohan and sentenced her to almost three months in the can.

Lohan's probation was contingent upon her attending classes and staying clear of trouble following her 2007 DUI conviction. Suffice it to say, it didn't take.

The judge noted that there was a pattern of violations since Lindsay was placed on probation in 2007 following her plea bargain in her DUI case. Ya think?

Lindsay dissolved into tears when the judge imposed the sentence, then broke down as she addressed the court, telling the judge, "I did the best I could."

Paris Hilton Arrested For Pot at World Cup

Paris Hilton was arrested in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium for allegedly smoking marijuana a few hours ago at a World Cup match.

Not as surprising as the Netherlands' 2-1 win over Brazil, but unexpected!

The socialite was taken to the Mount Road Police Station in St. Croix, S.A. just before 8 p.m., Det. Mark Magadlela later confirmed to local news organizations.

It is believed that Hilton was indeed at the police station but has since been released. No further specifics were given as to why the ho-tel heiress was busted.
Paris Hilton's Los Angeles-based lawyer says the 29-year-old has served her probation period, after her 2007 conviction for alcohol-related reckless driving.

Unlike Lindsay Lohan, her probation is complete (as of January 2010), taking a lot of the potential heat off her from this screw-up, whatever it consisted of.

One TMZ source also reports that Paris wasn't smoking dope, but an officer has reportedly said that Paris was caught red-handed in possession of weed.

Another report suggests it was a member of her entourage caught with the stuff, rather than Hilton herself, but that the whole crew was subsequently booked.
