Lindsay Lohan Charged in Necklace Theft Case, Gets Stern Warning From Judge

judge in Lindsay Lohan's necklace theft case has set her bail at $40,000, revoked probation and gave a stern warning in a court hearing on February 9.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith L. Schwartz charged the 24-year-old Mean Girls star with felony grand theft of a $2,500 necklace reported stolen from a jewelry store in January. He set her bail at $40,000 - $20,000 each for the felony charge and for violation of her probation in her 2007 DUI case.

Later the Judge directly addressed Lindsay, who sat quietly during most of her hearing.

"You're in a different situation now that a felony has been filed against you. If you violate the law, I will remand you and set no bail. A felony is a different situation and you're not entitled to bail."

"You need to follow the laws just like everybody else. Please, don't push your luck. I'm telling you, things will be different," judge added.

Next hearing in the case is scheduled for February 23.

Lohan has been asked to stay clear of Kamofie & Co. jewelry store owners after prosecutor Danette Meyers made a request to the judge. The store owners were alarmed after they received some flowers from Lindsay's camp.
