Kim Kardashian Pays Homage To Elizabeth Taylor In Cleopatra

Kardashian graces the mag’s new cover and is featured in a photoshoot paying homage to Taylor’s iconic portrayal of Cleopatra in the 1963 film. Kim says the pics are from “one of my favorite shoots I’ve ever done,” shot by fashion photographer Terry Richardson.

The reality star/socialite also got the honor of interviewing Ms. Taylor for the story, chatting with her idol about glamour, giving back, and how to live like a legend.

“Elizabeth Taylor is one of my all-time favorite Hollywood style icons. She epitomizes Hollywood glamour and beauty and to have the opportunity to interview her for this article was such an honor!” Kim wrote in a message on her blog Wednesday.

“You are my idol. But I’m six husbands and some big jewels behind. What should I do?” she asked during her chat with Taylor.

“I never planned to acquire a lot of jewels or a lot of husbands,” says Taylor, who turns 79 on Feb. 27. “For me, life happened, just as it does for anyone else. I have been supremely lucky in my life in that I have known great love, and of course I am the temporary custodian of some incredible and beautiful things. But I have never felt more alive than when I watched my children delight in something, never more alive than when I have watched a great artist perform, and never richer than when I have scored a big check to fight AIDS. Follow your passion, follow your heart, and the things you need will come.”
