Showbiz icon Barbra Streisand will make a rare public live performance at this weekend’s Grammy Awards, Entertainment Tonight has learned.
The eight-time Grammy winner has been added to the list of performers for the 53rd Annual ceremony, broadcasting live on CBS from The Staples Center in Los Angeles this Sunday night at 8PM.
Streisand, up for the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album prize for her comeback disc Love Is The Answer, will be introduced by Kris Kristofferson, her co-star in the ’70s romantic-drama A Star Is Born. Also taking the stage at this weekend’s show are Rolling Stones’ frontman Mick Jagger, Seal, Disco Queen Donna Summer, and Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow, who will perform a duet with Song of the Year nominee Cee Lo Green.
Streisand is also the 2011 MusiCares Person of the Year and will be honored by the Grammy’s charitable foundation during a formal dinner on Friday evening.
