Ashley Judd close to signing deal to star in Missing

Actress Ashley Judd is reportedly close to signing a deal to star in ABC show Missing. If the 42-year-old star agrees to sign on to the show she will play the role of Becca Winstone, a single mum who travels to Europe to track down her 18-year-old son when he goes missing in Italy while working on an architecture fellowship. According to Deadline, the new show is from feature writer Greg Poirier and is set to launch in the autumn. Steve Shill, who won an Emmy for his work on Dexter, has signed up to direct several episodes of the new show including the first episode. Production will begin on the show at the end of March in Rome, Vienna and Prague.
