Ashlee Simpson Looking for Her Own Place

Newly single Ashlee Simpson has been doing the city rounds in search for a place of her own.

A source tells Us Magazine that the young mama moved into her parents' home earlier this month after filing for divorce from Pete Wentz, who continues to stay at the couple's $4.5 million Beverly Hills home.

On Wednesday, February 16, Ashlee stepped out with a realtor to find herself and her son, Bronx, a suitable home in the same area.

"They drove by a few houses in the $3 to 4 million range," the source tells Us. "Ashlee didn't get out of the car and was quiet and subdued."

"One of the houses was just up from the street from Coldwater Park where she and Pete like to take Bronx to play."

"The homes were also very close to [sister] Jessica," the source added.

On a different note, Wentz was spotted without his wedding ring at an MTV event in Tokyo last night. His Valentine's day lunch with Ahslee not withstanding, Wentz appears to harbor no doubts about his single status. Another noticeable change - his signature straight locks were styled into frizzy curls.
